One Killed, One Injured after Multi-Car Crash on 215 Freeway near Highway 74

 
PERRIS, CA (September 21, 2021) — A man died and another was injured in a multi-car crash on 215 Freeway on Monday, September 20.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 4:30 a.m. on northbound 215 Freeway at Highway 74.
 
CHP said that at least four vehicles were part of the collision. However, the circumstances of the crash are still unclear.
 
Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department personnel arrived within 20 minutes after receiving a call. They discovered two people injured, one severely.
 
The CHP said that medics rushed the critically injured party to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley. He died a few hours later.
 
The other victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Medics rushed the injured person to the county hospital for treatment.
 
The identities of the deceased and the injured were not immediately released.
 
Officials said the crash impacted both northbound and southbound lanes of 215 Freeway. CHP closed two lanes closed on the northbound side of the freeway until 5:45 a.m.
