Two Vehicles Collide on Highway 108 in Knights Ferry Badly Injuring One

 
KNIGHTS FERRY, CA (August 9, 2022) – One person was badly injured in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 108 in the Knights Ferry area of Stanislaus County on Saturday morning.
 
The accident happened just after 11:00 a.m. at the Kennedy Road intersection. According to the California Highway Patrol, a sports sedan and an SUV collided in the eastbound lane of the highway. The impact sent the sedan into a ditch.
 
First responders found one person pinned inside the sedan, which has major front-end damage. They extricated the victim and airlifted them to a Modesto hospital with major injuries.
 
CHP officers blocked both lanes of the highway while they worked on the scene.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
