Pedestrian Suffers Severe Injuries after Hit by Vehicle on University Avenue in Hillcrest

 
HILLCREST, CA (February 15, 2024) – One person was badly injured in a pedestrian accident on University Avenue in Hillcrest Wednesday morning on February 14.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, a vehicle struck the pedestrian in the 1100 block of University Avenue.
 
Paramedics arrived and took the victim to nearby Scripps Mercy Hospital for treatment of severe injuries.
 
Police shut down the eastbound lanes of the street between 10th Avenue and Vermont Street to allow investigators to document the scene of the accident.
 
No other information available at this time. The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
