FRESNO COUNTY, CA (April 21, 2021) – Emergency crews airlifted one person following a pedestrian accident on Caruthers Avenue on April 20.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Brawley Avenue around 12:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, the pedestrian was walking on the road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, an unidentified vehicle struck the victim. Subsequently, the driver of the vehicle left the scene without rendering aid to the person that was hit.
 
As a result, the pedestrian sustained major injuries in the incident. Crews airlifted the victim to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
