Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding Head-On with Car in Paso Robles

 
PASO ROBLES, CA (March 28, 2022) – Oliver F. Raymond died in a head-on accident in Paso Robles on Saturday morning, March 26.
 
The accident happened around 11:55 a.m. on Peachy Canyon Road, west of Old Settler Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 78-year-old victim from Paso Robles was driving his 2019 Aprilia 1100 cc motorcycle westbound on Peachy Canyon Road at approximately 40 mph.
 
At the same time, 79-year-old Nancy Sznejkowski, also a Paso Robles resident, was driving a car and entering a slight right-hand curve heading eastbound on Peachy Canyon Road at 25 mph.
 
Raymond leaned into the curve, crossing into the eastbound lane. He then collided head-on into an oncoming Honda Fit. The impact ejected him down an embankment.
 
Responding paramedics rushed Raymond to Twin Cities Community Hospital, where he later died.
 
Sznejkowski was not hurt, according to CHP.
 
Alcohol or drugs are not suspected as factors in the crash. An investigation is underway.
