Steven McHenry Killed in DUI Accident on Midland Road [Poway, CA]

Police Arrest Astha Rajyaguru for DUI after Fatally Striking Parked Motorcyclist in Poway

 
POWAY, CA (March 28, 2022) – Steven Lee McHenry died in a DUI crash in Poway on Friday evening.
 
The crash happened around 10:34 p.m. on March 25 in the 13800 block of Midland Road, just north of Somerset Road. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, 22-year-old Astha Rajyaguru was driving a sedan northbound on Midland Road when he rear-ended the 59-year-old victim parked in the bike lane on the road.
 
As a result of the crash, McHenry died at the scene.
 
Police arrested Rajyaguru on suspicion of driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter. They booked him at the Las Colinas Detention Facility.
