Wrong-Way Driver Causes Crash with CHP Officer on 10 Freeway in Los Angeles and Arrested for DUI

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 14, 2022) – An officer was injured in a DUI wrong-way accident on 10 Freeway in Los Angeles, early Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened around 2:15 a.m. on March 10 at Arlington Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling wrong way in the westbound lanes of the freeway.
 
Initial reports added that the officer intentionally crashed the patrol car into the wrong way driver in order to stop the driver.
 
The impact of the crash caused the officer minor injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the wrong-way driver was arrested for DUI.
 
Crews closed the freeway for several hours while they cleared the wreckage and for the investigation.
