Nicholas Curtricht, Larry Springfield Hurt in USPS Truck, Semi-Truck Crash on Crows Landing Road near Monte Vista Avenue

 
CERES, CA (February 21, 2023) — Nicholas Curtrich and Larry Springfield suffered minor to major injuries in a USPS truck and big rig accident on Crows Landing Road near Monte Vista Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision happened around 1:00 p.m. Friday. As Curtricht was delivering mail, he made a U-turn into the path of a northbound big rig, driven by Springfield.
 
An investigation showed that the semi-truck was moving at about 55 miles per hour prior to the accident.
 
Curtricht suffered major injuries in the collision and was taken to Memorial Medical Center for immediate care. Meanwhile, Springfield sought care at the same hospital for his minor injuries.
 
Officers responded to the scene and canvassed the area for clues as to what went on. In addition, a USPS representative arrived to collect the outstanding mail in the mail truck.
