46-Year-Old Woman Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Fresno County

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (January 3, 2024) – Myrna Blanco was hit and killed by a car in Fresno County Friday evening on December 22.
 
The fatal crash happened shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Temperance Avenue, just north of North Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, Blanco was walking in the area when she was struck by an unknown vehicle.
 
After the crash, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Blanco was rushed to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. She was a 46-year-old Sanger resident, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
 
Family members created a GoFundMe page for Blanco’s funeral expenses.
 
At this time, authorities are still investigating the crash and searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
