SONORA, CA (January 6, 2022) — Murriel Kelly suffered minor injuries in Monday’s two-car accident on Highway 108 at Mono Vista Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision happened around 2:00 p.m. As 71-year-old Murriel Jaynz Kelly turned left onto the highway, an eastbound 2015 Ford Mustang struck her 2016 Subaru Outback.
 
Soon after, paramedics brought Kelly, of Soulsbyville, to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. Meanwhile, officers interviewed Alexander Mendenhall, of Sonora. They learned he had reached speeds of 80 mph while driving his Mustang over a hill, which resulted in the crash.
