Motoryclist Suffers Major Injuries after Crash with Vehicle on Eucalyptus Drive in East Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 30, 2023) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a fiery accident at Eucalyptus Drive and Stephen Kelly Lane in east Bakersfield late Thursday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 5:49 p.m. on April 27. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle collided with the motorcyclist in unclear circumstances.
 
The impact caused the motorcycle to catch fire. A bystander helped put out the fire with a fire extinguisher, CHP said.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and took the motorcyclist to a hospital with major injuries.
 
It is unknown if there are other injuries sustained in the crash.
 
At this time, CHP officials are still trying to determine the exact cause of the crash and factors involved.
