Motorcyclist Dies after Struck by Vehicle on 605 Freeway in Lakewood

 
LAKEWOOD, CA (June 26, 2023) – A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle accident on 605 Freeway in Lakewood early Saturday morning on June 24.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:19 a.m. just north of South Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling southbound on the freeway when it struck the motorcyclist and overturned.
 
The motorcyclist was thrown onto the ground and died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
Paramedics rushed two other people to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
