Motorcyclist Killed in Traffic Accident on University Avenue at Orange Street [Riverside, CA]

Rider Dies after Colliding with Van on University Avenue in Riverside

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (February 27, 2022) – A motorcyclist died in a traffic accident on University Avenue in Riverside on Thursday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 2:12 p.m. on February 24 at the intersection with Orange Street. According to the Riverside Police Department, the driver of a Ford Transit Connect Van was heading west on University Avenue and crossed paths with the motorcycle traveling east on University Avenue.
 
The van collided with the motorcycle, causing major injuries on the rider.
 
Arriving paramedics rushed the rider to Riverside Community Hospital, where the victim later died.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the van was unharmed.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Police asked anyone with further information to contact them at 951-826-8722.
