35-Year-Old Rider Dies in Ventura Crash on Highway 101

 
VENTURA, CA (October 4, 2021) – A 35-year-old motorcyclist died in an accident on Highway 101 just east of Highway 126 in Ventura Sunday morning.
 
The accident was reported around 10:10 a.m. on October 23, but had apparently taken place hours earlier. A passing motorist spotted the damaged motorcycle lying in ice plant on the roadside embankment and called 911.
 
Responding paramedics attempted life-saving aid, but the rider died at the scene.
 
The coroner’s office said the male rider was on a 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. They will release his identity once family members are notified.
 
At this time, it is unknown if other vehicles were involved. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
