Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 101 in Shell Beach Leaves Motorcyclist Injured

 
SHELL BEACH, CA (March 26, 2021) – A motorcyclist suffered injuries in a hit-and-run accident on Highway 101 in Shell Beach Tuesday night, March 23.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened just after 6:00 p.m. south of Avila Beach Drive.
 
The motorcyclist was traveling southbound on the highway when a vehicle hit him. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, leaving the motorcyclist with leg and head injuries.
 
Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital for proper treatment. The CHP only identified the rider as a man in his 60s from Pismo Beach.
 
Officials are still on the lookout for the hit-and-run suspect. They ask anyone with information to contact the San Luis Obispo area CHP office at (805) 594-8700.
