Driver Dies in Gilroy Car Accident on Highway 101
GILROY, CA (March 26, 2021) — A driver was killed in a car crash on Highway 101 near the Sergeant overcrossing on Wednesday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 1:50 a.m. For unknown reasons, the person reportedly drove the car off the highway, down an embankment and into a tree.
As a result of the impact, the car caught on fire and the driver sustained fatal injuries.
