LONG BEACH, CA (March 4, 2024) — A mother and her infant were injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident near Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and 8th Street.
 
According to Long Beach Police, the hit-and-run happened around 12:24 a.m. Friday. For unknown reasons, a driver of a four-door vehicle left the scene after hitting a mother and her infant daughter as they entered a vehicle. Subsequently, the driver left the scene without identifying him or herself.
 
Soon after, officers responded, and paramedics took the pair to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
