Retired Pro Endurance Mountain Biker Dies after Crash with Motorcycle in Yucaipa

 
YUCAIPA, CA (January 31, 2023) – Monique Parmalee died in a bicycle crash in Yucaipa Wednesday afternoon on January 35.
 
The fatal crash happened around 1:45 p.m. on Wildwood Canyon Road. According to the Yucaipa Police Department, Parmalee was riding her bicycle when a motorcycle struck her.
 
Responding emergency crews declared Parmalee dead at the crash site.
 
Parmalee was a 42-year old retired pro endurance mountain biker. She leaves behind her husband and two young children, boys aged just six and four.
 
Meanwhile, the motorcycle rider suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
