At Least 1 Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 299 in Shasta County
SHASTA COUNTY, CA (February 9, 2024) — At least one person suffered minor injuries in a head-on accident on Highway 299 near Hatchet Mountain.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 9:07 a.m. Wednesday. For possible weather-related reasons, a tow truck and a pickup crashed head-on on Highway 99.
Soon after, first responders arrived around 11:38 a.m. and assisted at least one person with minor injuries. Reports noted that the crash occurred due to winter conditions.
