Mikaela Torres Hurt in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 101 near 5 Cities Drive

 
PISMO BEACH, CA (August 28, 2023) — Mikaela Torres suffered major injuries in a deadly pedestrian accident on Highway 101 near 5 Cities Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 10:12 p.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, an unidentified man tried to cross Highway 101 in an eastbound fashion when a southbound 2011 Nissan Murano struck him.
 
As a result of the accident, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries, and the driver suffered major injuries.
 
Drivers had to turn around on the highway due to the crash, and semi-truck drivers waited three hours for authorities to clear the scene.
 
Traffic investigators said that 23-year-old Mikaela Torres — the driver of the Nissan — was not able to avoid the collision.
 
At this time, authorities do not have an explanation for the crash or the victim’s name. Although, we will release more information once we receive additional details.
