30-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Jeep in Huntington Beach

 
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (November 8, 2022) – Michael Klassen died in a pedestrian accident in Huntington Beach early Monday morning on November 7.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on Beach Boulevard north of Slater Avenue. According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, a gray Jeep Compass was traveling northbound past the intersection when it struck Klassen, who had been in the northbound lanes.
 
The impact caused Klassen fatal injuries and he died at the scene. He was 30 years old from Laguna Niguel.
 
The driver of a gray Jeep Compass, a 50-year-old Fountain Valley man, remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
It does not appear that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, police said. An investigation into this accident is underway.
