Michael Gonzalez Dies in Overturned Semi-Truck Crash on Main Drain Road near 7th Standard Road

 
BUTTONWILLOW, CA (October 3, 2023) — Michael Gonzalez died in an overturned semi-truck accident on Main Drain Road near 7th Standard Road.
 
According to reports, the single-vehicle crash happened around 3:08 p.m. on October 1. For an unknown reason, a driver of a 2014 International Pro Star fuel truck lost control of the semi-truck. Subsequently, the vehicle left the roadway and rolled onto its roof on the east shoulder of Main Drain Road.
 
A passenger on board the cab, 24-year-old Michael Leo Gonzalez, passed away in the accident.
 
Soon after, paramedics with the Kern County Fire Department responded and rescued the driver from being trapped and took him to a hospital.
