NAPA COUNTY, CA (November 17, 2021) — Michael Bates was injured in a motorcycle accident on Butts Canyon Road near Highway 29 on November 14.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle crash happened around 1:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, 53-year-old Bates drove his 2019 BMW F 850 motorbike into the northbound lane from the southbound lane. Subsequently, his motorbike sideswiped a northbound 1993 Dodge Dakota pickup truck. As a result, his bike veered out of control and traveled into a canyon.
 
As a result, the Pinole rider sustained unknown injuries and sought care at Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Meanwhile, the 23-year-old Fairfield man driving the pickup was unharmed.
