Franco Saavedra Dies in Pedestrian Crash on Stetson Avenue and Sanderson Avenue

 
HEMET, CA (November 17, 2021) — Franco Saavedra died in a pedestrian accident on Stetson Avenue and Sanderson Avenue early Monday.
 
According to Hemet Police Department, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 4:39 a.m. For unknown reasons, 32-year-old Saavedra began crossing the street in a marked crosswalk. However, he began crossing against a red traffic signal when a westbound 2019 Chrysler 300 with a green signal struck him.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, the Hemet man suffered severe injuries and died at the scene at 5:50 a.m. Meanwhile, Hemet police interviewed the 23-year-old Hemet man operating the Chrysler who showed no signs of intoxication.
