Michael Barrios Dies, Efren Morales Involved, Motorcycle and Truck Collide on Atascadero Road near Hill Street

 
MORRO BAY, CA (December 2, 2022) — Michael Barrios died after his motorcycle crashed into a truck on Atascadero Road near Hill Street.
 
According to Morro Bay Police, the fatal motorcycle accident happened around 1:45 p.m. Monday. In the 500 block of Atascadero Road, 51-year-old Efren Morales was exiting the driveway of a business when his truck collided with a motorcyclist.
 
Shortly after the crash, Morro Bay Police arrived at the scene and First Responders brought 69-year-old Barrios — the motorcycle rider — to a hospital for treatment. However, after he’d undergone surgery, Barrios died from his injuries sustained in the crash.
 
Morales did not report any injuries and remained at the scene following the accident. It’s unclear how the crash occurred or where the fault lies. Though, if anyone has seen this accident, please call Morro Bay Police at 805-772-6225.
