Matthew Garcia Involved in Deadly Pedestrian Crash on 5 Freeway near Main Street

 
COTTONWOOD, CA (October 31, 2022) — Matthew Garcia was involved in a fatal pedestrian accident on the 5 Freeway near Main Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian crash happened around 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. For unknown reasons, an unidentified pedestrian walked into the fast lane on the 5 Freeway near the Main Street on-ramp. Subsequently, Matthew Brooks Garcia struck the individual as he was moving at speeds of about 75 miles per hour.
 
According to reports, the 28-year-old tried to swerve to avoid hitting the pedestrian but struck him anyway.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed the pedestrian deceased moments later.
