Mason Young Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Hellebore Street [Murrieta, CA]

Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with Sedan at Hellebore Street and Whitewood Road

 
MURRIETA, CA (May 22, 2023) – Mason Young was killed in a motorcycle accident in Murrieta Thursday night on May 18.
 
The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. at Hellebore Street and Whitewood Road. According to the Murrieta Police Department, Young was riding his motorcycle southbound on Whitewood when a 17-year-old girl driving a four-door sedan entered the left-turn lane on northbound Whitewood to head into the residential area along Hellebore.
 
The teen initiated a left turn in front of Young, who was unable to maneuver around her, causing his bike to hit the driver’s side door and front quarter panel of the sedan.
 
Young suffered catastrophic injuries and died at the scene. He was a 23-year-old Menifee resident.
 
The teen driver was not injured.
 
Speed, drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash.
 
An investigation is ongoing. Police urged witnesses to contact them at 951-461-6397.
