Mary Love Killed in Head-On Accident on Redrock Randsburg Road [Garlock, CA]

Head-On Crash near Garlock Kills One and Seriously Injures Two

 
GARLOCK, CA (January 9, 2024) – Mary Leechelle Love was killed in a head-on accident near Garlock Monday morning on January 8.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:36 a.m. on Redrock Randsburg Road, just west of Garlock Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, Love was driving a white Hyundai eastbound on Redrock Randsburg with one passenger. At the same time, a white Mercedes was traveling westbound on Redrock Randsburg.
 
For unknown reasons, the two vehicles collided head-on.
 
As a result, Love suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was a 50-year-old Ridgecrest resident, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
 
The passenger in the Hyundai and the driver of the Mercedes both sustained major injuries.
 
Intoxication is not currently suspected as a contributing factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
