Mark Rodriguez Killed in Motorcycle Crash on 5 Freeway near 80 Freeway

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 6, 2023) — Mark Rodriguez died in a motorcycle accident on the 5 Freeway near the 80 Freeway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol North Sacramento division, the fatal motorcycle crash happened around 9:00 p.m. Saturday. For an unknown reason, 43-year-old Mark Anthony Rodriguez veered to the left on the 5 Freeway and struck the center median. As a result, his Harley-Davidson also hit a pole and ejected him in front of a GMC that he was traveling behind. The GMC ran over Rodriguez as soon as he landed in the vehicle’s trajectory.
 
Paramedics responded to the scene and found Rodriguez with fatal injuries.
 
The GMC driver stayed and cooperated with investigators surrounding the details of the crash.
