ORCUTT, CA (November 23, 2023) – Authorities identified 33-year-old Mark Lee Rogers of Paso Robles as the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run on Highway 135, early Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on November 19, at about 12:35 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, at least one vehicle hit the pedestrian near Rice Ranch Road.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
 
Caltrans temporarily shut down southbound Highway 135 to make way for an investigation.
 
As per reports, no involved vehicle or vehicles remained.
