Driver Mark Cuevas Dies in Fresno County Semi-Truck Crash

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (October 26, 2021) – Police identified the man died in a semi-truck accident in Fresno County on Thursday, October 14.
 
The accident happened around 3:34 p.m. at the intersection of Mount Whitney Avenue and Cedar Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the semi-truck was crossing Mount Whitney when a white Mercedes slammed into the trailer.
 
The car went under the truck and continued off the road. According to the California Highway Patrol, 20-year-old Mark Cuevas of Riverdale ejected from his car and killed during the crash.
 
Cuevas was the sole occupant of the car.
 
The driver of the semi-truck did not sustain any injuries. He remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
Speed is suspected to be a factor in the crash, but an investigation is underway.
