Mario Estrada, Amy Gaspar Hospitalized in Deadly 2-Car Accident on Orange Avenue at Elm Avenue

PATTERSON, CA (March 7, 2023) Mario Estrada and Amy Gaspar were rushed to a hospital following a two-car accident on Orange Avenue at Elm Avenue that left three people dead.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 2:20 p.m. Monday. Under unclear circumstances, 20-year-old Estrada drove past a stop sign while heading eastbound on Orange Avenue. As his 2020 Dodge Ram drove through the intersection, a southbound 2012 Dodge SUV slammed into the left side of the truck.

Both cars sustained considerable damage to the impact.

Shortly after, emergency personnel arrived and brought Estrada, of Crows Landing, and his 20-year-old passenger, Gaspar, to Doctors Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

Three people inside the Dodge SUV, described as two men and a woman, perished at the scene. Authorities did not release their names or ages. However, all were adults.

CHP officers have not confirmed if impairment contributed to the crash or if Estrada ran the stop sign before the collision. However, an ongoing investigation will reveal more details.
