SAN DIEGO, CA (March 7, 2023) — Five people were injured after two cars crashed at Park Boulevard and University Avenue.
 
According to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department officials, the two-vehicle crash left multiple people with a range of injuries. It happened in North Park around 8:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, two cars crashed, leaving one car on its side and two people trapped inside.
 
Arriving fire officials extricated both patients from the vehicle and took them to a nearby hospital. In addition, medics transported three others from the second car to another hospital.
 
Officials did not reveal the cause of the crash, but an ongoing investigation should confirm these details.
