Maria Arana Suffers Injuries after Two-Car Accident on Highway 29 at Jameson Canyon Road

 
NAPA, CA (February 2, 2021) – 51-year-old Maria Arana of Napa sustained moderate injuries after a car accident on Highway 29, Wednesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 7:45 p.m. at Jameson Canyon Road.
 
CHP officials said 25-year-old Joshua Buensalida of Fairfield was driving a Kia when he failed to stop for a red light at the intersection. He was attempting to turn left onto Jameson Canyon when he collided with a northbound GMC driven by 54-year-old Felipe Arana of Napa.
 
As a result, Maria Arana, who was a passenger in the GMC, was hurt in the crash. Paramedics took her to Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment.
 
Buensalida suffered major injuries and was also taken to the same hospital. Felipe went to seek his own treatment.
 
Neither alcohol nor drugs were believed to be factors in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
