Kenneth Adams Badly Hurt in High-Speed Crash on Standiford Avenue near Shawnee Drive

 
MODESTO, CA (February 2, 2021) – A driver identified as 55-year-old Kenneth Adams of Modesto suffered major injuries after high-speed accident Monday morning.
 
The accident happened around 6:12 a.m. on Standiford Avenue near Shawnee Drive. According to the CHP, Adams was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe west when he lost control. He then struck a light pole, a fence and a tree.
 
As a result, Adams sustained a broken leg. Firefighters had to extricate him from the vehicle and took him to a local hospital.
 
A male passenger in the SUV fled the crash scene before officers arrived.
 
Police said speed appears to have factored in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
