59-Year-Old Pedestrian Hospitalized after Accident on Orange Avenue near 42nd Street

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 20, 2021) – A 59-year-old man sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Orange Avenue, Wednesday evening.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened on September 15, at about 6:00 p.m. The pedestrian reportedly attempted to cross the three-way intersection. Then, a Dodge Ram made a left turn and hit the pedestrian at the unmarked crosswalk of 42nd Street.
 
Emergency crews rushed the pedestrian to a hospital for treatment of an open fracture to his left arm.
 
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old pickup driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
San Diego police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
