Motorcyclist Suffers Serious Injuries after Crash with Sedan on Friars Road in Mission Valley

 
MISSION VALLEY, CA (July 4, 2023) – A 31-year-old man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Friars Road in Mission Valley Friday afternoon on June 30.
 
The accident happened shortly before 3:00 p.m. just south of Donahue Street. According to the San Diego Police Department, the victim was riding a 1999 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on Friars Road when a 2018 Honda Civic crossed directly into his path from southbound Donahue Street.
 
The motorcycle broadsided the car, sending the rider tumbling onto the roadway.
 
Responding paramedics took the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment of a fractured pelvis. The victim’s injuries was serious but non-life-threatening.
 
The driver of the Honda, a woman in her 30s, was evaluated for a complaint of pain.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
