Pedestrian Suffers Serious Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver while Lying on El Cajon Boulevard

 
ROLANDO, CA (May 24, 2023) – A 42-year-old man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on El Cajon Boulevard in the Rolando Village neighborhood early Saturday morning on May 20.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the man was walking around 4:56 a.m. in the 6300 block of El Cajon Boulevard when for unknown reasons, he laid down in the road. He was then struck by a vehicle while lying in the street.
 
The driver of the vehicle stopped and assisted the pedestrian out of the road, and then took off before officers arrived.
 
Responding paramedics took the pedestrian to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Police are still investigating the crash. They urged anyone with further information to call the Command handling the investigation or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
