Man Seriously Injured in Dirt Bike Accident on Balboa Drive [Bakersfield, CA]

Dirt Bike Rider Hospitalized after Accident on Balboa Drive near Emery Avenue

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 11, 2023) – A man sustained serious injuries in a dirt bike accident on Balboa Drive, early Sunday evening.
 
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident happened on April 9, at about 5:35 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, the southbound rider became separated from his 65-cc dirt bike and collided with a parked vehicle near Emery Avenue.
 
As per reports, the rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
 
Emergency crews transported the man to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Authorities did not release the name of the rider.
