CLOVERDALE, CA (April 11, 2023) – A 30-year-old man sustained serious injuries after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver on East 1st Street, Sunday.
 
According to the Cloverdale Police Department, the incident happened on April 9. The pedestrian was reportedly walking westbound along the north shoulder when a vehicle struck him.
 
Emergency crews rushed the victim to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
 
As per reports, the suspect vehicle accelerated west toward Main Street and the driver failed to render aid. Investigators describe the suspect vehicle as a white 2009 or 2010 Toyota Corolla with custom red accents along the lower sides and around the wheel wells. Responders also recovered a black plastic grille with two decorative heart-shaped straps that fell off the vehicle.
