Man Seriously Injured in Bicycle Hit-and-Run at Seventh Street and Tatum Road [Victorville, CA]

Hit-and-Run on Seventh Street in Victorville Leaves Bicyclist with Serious Injuries

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (May 24, 2021) – A 30-year-old man sustained serious injuries in a bicycle hit-and-run at Seventh Street and Tatum Road Tuesday morning.
 
The incident happened around 9:48 a.m. on May 18. CHP officials said the victim road his bicycle across Seventh Street, outside of a marked crosswalk, when a southbound car hit him.
 
The female driver of the car involved stopped briefly before leaving the scene with the victim still lying in the roadway with serious injuries.
 
Victorville City Firefighters responded to the call and requested a medical helicopter to airlift the victim to a trauma center. The condition of the victim is not known at this time.
 
Evidence was collected at the scene and the investigation to identify and locate the suspect is ongoing. Information on a vehicle description was not immediately available.
 
Authorities asked anyone with information to call the Victorville Police Department at 760-241-2911.
