Two Cars Collide on Highway 65 in Yuba County Killing 1 Driver and Injuring Another

 
YUBA COUNTY, CA (January 15, 2023) – A man died and a woman was injured after a two-car accident on Highway 65 in Yuba County Friday on January 13.
 
The accident happened near Oakley Lane, according the California Highway Patrol. The man was driving a Honda northbound at an unknown speed. At the same time, a 55-year-old woman was driving a Subaru southbound at about 60 mph in moderate rainfall.
 
Due to unsafe speed and unsafe turning movement, the man lost control of his car and ended up in the wrong lane. The Subaru then struck his car, causing him fatal injuries.
 
The man died at the scene. He was 32 years old from Olivehurst. Authorities withheld his name at this time.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the woman to a hospital with a broken femur and ribs.
 
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, the CHP said. Further investigation is underway.
