Two-Vehicle Crash on Winchester Road in Temecula Kills One and Injures Two Others

 
TEMECULA, CA (December 10, 2023) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Winchester Road in Temecula Friday evening on December 8.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:30 p.m. just north of Pourroy Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a Honda Accord and allegedly made an illegal U-turn over two sets of solid double yellow lines. He then collided head-on with a black Nissan Rogue, which was traveling southbound on Winchester Road.
 
As a result of the crash, the man driving the Accord suffered significant injuries. He was rushed to a hospital, where he later died. He was a 20-year-old Winchester resident.
 
The driver of the Nissan, a 56-year-old man, and his 17-year-old male passenger, both suffered moderate injuries. Both were from Oceanside.
 
The CHP’s Temecula-area office was overlooking the investigation, and said impaired driving might have been a factor in the crash.
