Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on Millerton Road near Winchell Cove Road [Fresno County, CA]

Two-Vehicle Crash on Millerton Road Kills 1 Driver and Badly Injures 2 Passengers

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (May 14, 2023) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Millerton Road in Fresno County Wednesday evening on May 10.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:15 p.m. just west of Winchell Cove Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Tundra was traveling west on Millerton. At the same time, a Toyota RAV4 was heading east on Millerton approaching the Tundra.
 
The driver of the Tundra was unable to negotiate a curve to the left, allowing his vehicle to leave the road. He attempted to correct his direction and swerved to the left, entering the eastbound lane directly in front of the RAV4.
 
The front of the Tundra struck the left side of the RAV4, leaving three people with major life-threatening injuries.
 
Paramedics rushed the three patients to a hospital. However, the driver did not survive and was declared dead.
 
Authorities only identified the deceased victim as a 29-year-old Fresno man.
 
The driver of the Tundra only sustained minor injuries.
 
Alcohol and drugs did not play a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
