Two-Vehicle Accident on Central Road in Apple Valley Kills One Driver and Seriously Injures Another

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (March 31, 2024) – A man died in a two-vehicle accident on Central Road in Apple Valley early Wednesday morning on March 27.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:13 a.m. just north of Pahute Avenue. According to the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station, a green/white Ford Ranger was traveling south on Central Road and getting close to where Pahute Avenue crosses it. At the same time, a silver Dodge Durango was heading north on the same road.
 
For unknown reasons, the Ford left the roadway causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The Ford then crossed into the northbound lane and collided with the oncoming Dodge.
 
As a result, the male driver of the Ford suffered major injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died. He was a 33-year-old San Bernardino resident.

The driver of the Dodge, a 47-year-old woman from Phelan, sustained major injuries. She was airlifted to a nearby trauma center, where she is listed in stable condition.

It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in this crash, which is still under investigation.
