Man Dead, Two Hurt in Head-On Accident near Nuns Canyon Road

 
GLEN ELLEN, CA (September 7, 2022) — A man died following a head-on accident on Highway 12 on Monday, September 5.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 2:34 p.m. near Nuns Canyon Road.
 
CHP said a 66-year-old Sonoma man drove a Mercedes sedan that drifted into oncoming traffic for undetermined reasons. Then it collided into a Subaru Outback.
 
The force of the impact caused the Subaru to flip over. Medics pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Authorities described him as a 64-year-old Santa Rosa resident.
 
Medics also rushed a passenger of the Subaru to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries. Additionally, paramedics brought the man driving the Mercedes to the hospital with major injuries.
