Driver Sustains Injuries after Hitting Back of -Truck on Highway 138 in Phelan

 
PHELAN, CA (September 7, 2022) – A man was injured in a semi-truck rollover on Highway 138 in Phelan on Friday morning, September 2.
 
The crash happened around 11:00 a.m. near Highway 2. According to the CHP, a blue Honda Civic rear-ended the semi pulling a trailer. The driver of the Honda hit the corner of the Mansfield bar and back tire of the semi trailer causing the car to rollover.
 
After the crash, the driver of the Honda was able to get out of his car.
 
San Bernardino County Fire Department crews responded and found the driver of the Honda sitting next to his vehicle and was bleeding from his head.
 
A ground ambulance transported the man to Loma Linda Medical Center with cuts and bruises, and back pain.
 
Meanwhile, the semi driver was not injured.
 
The crash is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office.
