Man Killed in Three-Vehicle Accident at Grand Avenue and Perret Boulevard [Lakeland Village, CA]

Three-Vehicle Crash on Grand Avenue in Lakeland Village Leaves Lake Elsinore Man Dead

 
LAKELAND VILLAGE, CA (November 29, 2023) – A man was killed in a three-vehicle accident at Grand Avenue and Perret Boulevard in Lakeland Village on Monday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 3:15 p.m. on November 27. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2006 Honda Accord was heading northbound on Grand Avenue at approximately 55 mph when the driver veered through oncoming traffic.
 
The Accord then collided head-on with an Isuzu box truck parked on the opposite shoulder. The impact sent that parked vehicle into a second parked box truck where two people sat inside.
 
First responders pronounced the driver of the Accord dead at the scene. Authorities only identified him as a 56-year-old Lake Elsinore resident.
 
Both occupants of the second box truck suffered minor injuries and complaints of pain.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
