Man Riding Motorized Scooter Dies after Colliding with Vehicle near Avenue H-8 in Lancaster

 
LANCASTER, CA (July 27, 2022) – A man was killed in a scooter accident near Avenue H-8 and 30th Street East in Lancaster on Sunday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 9:06 p.m. on July 24. According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, the man was riding his motorized scooter northbound on 30th Street when he collided with a Toyota.
 
The impact of the crash ejected the man from his scooter. Paramedics rushed him to Antelope Valley Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office only described him as someone in his 40s. They withheld his identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
It is unknown if speed, alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
