Man Killed in Rollover Accident on Highway 94 near 22nd Street [Golden Hill, CA]

Driver Dies when Pickup Truck Overturns after Crash with Sedan on Highway 94 in Golden Hill Area

 
GOLDEN HILL, CA (April 3, 2023) – A man was killed in a rollover accident on Highway 94 in the Golden Hill area early Friday morning on March 31.
 
The accident happened just after 4:00 a.m. near 22nd Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a white Ford pickup truck westbound on the highway when rear-ended a gray Honda sedan near 22nd Street.
 
The Ford then veered to the left and overturned, ejecting the driver.
 
The driver of the pickup truck, who appeared to be 40 to 50 years old, died at the scene. He was not yet identified.
 
The driver of the Honda, a 49-year-old San Diego man, was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
